After the success of the second season of The Kapil Sharma Show, Salman Khan is all set to start the production of his next TV show based on wrestler Gama Pehalwan’s life–starring Sohail Khan and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya star Mohammad Nazim as brothers.
Written and directed by Puneet Issar, the show is set to go on the floors in the month of April and will be shot in the locales of London and Punjab.
A source close to the show that the makers are trying to get a bank of episodes ready in time for the show’s July premiere.
Earlier, the actor wanted to make a movie on the same subject, but the project was shelved after he came to know that actor John Abraham too was keen on making a film on the ace wrestler. However, both the movies couldn’t materialise and now the actor will use this idea for his maiden TV production.
The story will be set in the period of Partition in Amritsar, which was Gama’s hometown. The wrestler could not be defeated even a single time in a career spanning more than five decades. After independence, he migrated to Pakistan and diet at the age of 82 in 1960.
