Alia Bhatt on Kangana Ranaut’s ‘grow a spine’ comment: I didn’t do anything to get a reaction like this

Manikarnika Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is known to never mince her words, recently spoke about how the industry and the stars have alienated her. Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt found themselves on the other end of the crossfire when the actress complained that the two stars have been unresponsive to her repeated calls and requests.

Kangana also claimed that the two have not been supportive of her recent film Manikranika and despite that fact that Kangana personally requested both Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt to attend the screening of Manikarnika they didn’t turn up for the same. Gully boy actress Alia apologised to Kangana but seems like the war of words is not over. Kangana once again accused Alia. “I suggested that she grows some spine and supports an important film about woman empowerment and nationalism… if she doesn’t have a voice of her own and her existence is all about being KJo’s (Karan Johar) puppet then I don’t consider her successful… I told her if she is only focusing on earning bucks and not raise a voice, then her success has no value,” she reportedly said.

This reaction from Kangana was not at all what Alia expected and was left puzzled with such harsh comments from the ‘Queen’ of Bollywood. Alia said, “I would like to react to her personally if she has any complaints. I don’t want to talk about it in the media. As I have said before, I really admire her as an actor and the choices that she makes. She’s a very outspoken person and I admire her for that as well. If I have upset her unintentionally, then I don’t know. Basically, it wasn’t my intention. I didn’t do anything to get a reaction like this.”

This word war is turning uglier day by day and only time will tell what would happen next.
