At times, Bollywood movies have to face issues while being certified by the board of certification which is one of the biggest nightmares for a filmmaker. This is exactly what Oscar-nominated director Ashvin Kumar’s film No Fathers In Kashmir is facing. The movie has been juggling between two apex bodies of film certification, the CBFC and FCAT from quite some time. Earlier CBFC had refused to give it a U certificate after which the makers went to FCAT for the certification.

However, the film still hasn’t received an appropriate certification from the apex bodies. Amidst this, many prominent personalities have tried to raise their voice in support of the film. Swara Bhasker, Shashi Tharoor, Pritish Nandy and film’s actress Soni Razdan also tweeted and requested CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi to take note of the situation and to pass the film. Now, Soni Razdan’s daughter and actress Alia Bhatt also took to Twitter to request the CBFC to pass her mother’s film, No Father In Kashmir.

Alia wrote, “Was soo looking forward to mom’s @nofathers_movie #nofathersinkashmir!! @Soni_Razdan @ashvinkumar & team worked super hard for this honest teens love story in Kashmir. Really hope the CBFC would #lifttheban. It’s a film about empathy & compassion..let’s give love a chance!

The movie still is stuck with the CBFC and many people have been rooting for it to be passed. The movie is based on the life of two love-struck teenagers in search of their hidden secrets about the lost fathers of Kashmir. We also tried to contact CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi twice in the matter. However, he remained unavailable to comment.
