Gully Boy is the current flavour of the nation. The film, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles and directed by Zoya Akhtar, is winning heart after heart at the theatres. At the ticket windows, Gully Boy is a roaring success. The film, which hit the screens on February 14 this year, has already made it past Rs 80 crore at the domestic box office. And the numbers are only going up with each passing day.
While Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and the team of Gully Boy are busy celebrating the success of the film, the movie just got an utterly butterly tribute from Amul.
Amul, known for its ads on trending topics, gave Gully Boy its own touch. The ad gives the tagline of Gully Boy, Apna Time Aayega, a spin: Apna Time Hai… Khayega. The ad also says, “What’s inside the rapper!’
Ranveer Singh took to Instagram to share the ad. Singh praised the ad on his Instagram story: “Ek number.”
Gully Boy, which deals with the life of Murad, a slumdog who wants to make it big, opened to glowing reviews last week. The film stars Ranveer as Murad, the Gully Boy who dreams of being a rapper. Alia Bhatt plays Safeena in Gully Boy, a feisty Muslim girl who has little consideration for the restrictions that the society imposes on her.
In its first four days at the box office, Gully Boy has already earned Rs 81.10 crore. The film is expected to cross Rs 100 crore at the box office in a week of its release.
