The Saif Ali Khan’s movie Baazar despite of having a poor start shows an upward trend in its box office collection. It hits screens a day earlier in the overseas market.
The film, which had earned Rs 3.07 crore on its opening day, has managed to mint Rs 4.10 crore on its second day, taking the total collection to Rs 22.52 crore.
Baazaar had a sluggish start. The film starring Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Aapte, directed by Gaurav Chawla. It opened on a less than desirable note.
The Saif Ali Khan film is facing competition from Ayushmann Khurana’s Badhaai Ho at the box office.
However, Bazaar had an extremely poor start in the morning shows, but had picked up its pace during the times.
It is Gauravv K Chawla’s first directorial venture and also stars debutant Rohan Mehra and Chitrangada Singh.
The film has garnered mixed reviews from the audience and critics.
Many reviews it as uninteresting and uninvolving in reviews, the bad songs punctuate the proceedings.
The background music is used to buoy almost every scene. It is very much a predictable to the point we can tell what the character is going to say next.
However, Saif Ali Khan, who plays the role of a shrewd businessman in Baazaar. Is glad that, he could successfully pull off a “challenging” role. Apart from exploring a subject centered around the stock market, which hasn’t been done before, his character was also very layered with shades of grey. It was a risky but he is glad that he paid off
Badhaai Ho from the previous week is still going strong which can further worsen the case for Saif Ali Khan starrer Bazaar.
