After treating his fans with Satyamev Jayate and Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran in 2018, John Abraham is all set to return to the silver screen this year with his upcoming film ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’ (RAW). The film also features Sikander Kher and is set to arrive in theatres on April 12, 2019. Earlier, Ajay Devgn’s De De Pyaar De was slated to release in the same window and clash with RAW. However, makers of Ajay Devgn’s film have now looked at things minutely and pushed the release to a suitable date in May.
RAW’s release of April 12 was just confirmed yesterday and the film will now see a solo release. Confirming the development, film critic and trade analyst took to Twitter and tweeted, “Release date finalised… #RomeoAkbarWalter #RAW to release on 12 April 2019… Stars John Abraham, Mouni Roy, Jackie Shroff, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and Sikandar Kher… Directed by Robbie Grewal… Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, KYTA Productions and VA Film Company.” Mouni Roy, who too is a part of the venture too posted about it on Twitter.

Even though John may have avoided a clash with Ajay Devgn, he will be battling it out with Akshay Kumar at the box office. John Abraham, who will be playing the lead in Nikhil Advani’s Batla House, will clash with Akhshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal. Both the films are slated to release on August 15, 2019. Last year, too, the actors’ film Gold and Satyamev Jayate clashed at the box office.
Co-incidentally Mouni, who starred in Gold, will now feature in Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW), which marks her second film in Bollywood. In RAW, Mouni will be seen romancing John Abraham and the actor is quite excited about the film as stated earlier. RAW is set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 and is said to be inspired by true events.
