Katrina Kaif Takes Inspiration From Hollywood To Essay The Role Of An Actor Battling Alcoholism In Zero

The trailer of Aanand L.Rai’s Zero will be launched today and while the story line has been kept under wraps, we have learnt that Katrina Kaif will play the role of an actor battling with alcoholism in the film. As we speak, we are minutes away from seeing the trailer of Aanand L. Rai’s much anticipated film Zero. The buzz around the film refuses to die down and more so because the story line, characters and plot, everything has been kept under wraps. After Jab Tak Hai Jaan, fans can’t contain their excitement to see Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma unveil their magic together on screen. Despite the posters breaking the internet, the trailer of the film is what is highly awaited.

While we still await the details of all the characters, there is some information on Katrina’s character from the film. A source close to the film’s unit told that this has been one of Katrina’s most difficult roles till date because Katrina had to do a lot of research on people who resort to alcoholism. “It’s definitely one of Katrina’s toughest roles to date. In order to understand the psyche of a star who resorts to alcoholism, she did extensive research on Hollywood stars who battled similar demons,” as quoted by Mid-Day.

We all know that Katrina Kaif is one of the most hard working actresses in the industry and to ace her role, Kat can go the extra mile. In order to play the role of a person battling alcoholism, Katrina extensively read about the lives of Hollywood stars to take some inspiration. According to reports, while prepping for the film, Kat read extensively about the lives of Demi Moore, Lindsay Lohan, and Liza Minnelli. The source adds, “Katrina read up on their stories to bring more gravitas to her role. Demi Moore, for instance, has spoken at length about how she would constantly be having thoughts of self-destruction, regardless of the success that came her way. Katrina also read up on Lohan’s stints in the rehab. She also referred to books like Blackout and More, Now, Again that includes stories of people at different stages of addicition and how they kicked the habit.”

On Thursday, the makers of Zero unveiled the poster of the film and while the first poster had Anushka Sharma and SRK, the second poster had Katrina Kaif and Bauaa Singh. Zero will hit the theatres on December 21, 2018.
