From Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, to Alia Bhatt, Ekta Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Vicky Kaushal and directors Rohit Shetty, Karan Johar, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the young delegation from the Indian film industry met up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss what changes can be brought about in the industry. Prime Minister Modi posed for an epic selfie with the delegation and it is simply the picture to be treasured for decades. PM really seems to have had a great discussion on the subject.
According to a source, “A courtesy meeting turned into a very uplifting dialogue. Talked about how the industry has always played an important role building a better nation, a better society through entertainment. Spoke about various issues concerning the Industry and thanked and acknowledged PM for GST change and giving space to the industry to connect. Many interesting ideas were discussed and the young delegation is excited to contribute more with more energy for the country.”
Interestingly, PM Modi called for the delegation at the time when three films based on the politics of the country are releasing just before the grand 2019 general elections. The Accidental Prime Minister, Uri The Surgical Strike and a biopic on PM Modi himself. All the celebrities were seen arriving at the Delhi airport together this afternoon wherein Ranbir in particular was seen being protective of Alia Bhatt as she got mobbed by the crowd. Incidentally, only 4 women from the industry were part of the delegation dominated by men again.
