One of the biggest event of the year was Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding. The two got married in an intimate ceremony at Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy.
Deepika and Ranveer married as per two traditions, Konkani and Sindhi. The couple released their wedding pictures and we have to say they are indeed a match made in heaven. The two tied the knot after 6 years of relationship on November 14th and 15th.
After the wedding was over, everyone was curious to know who was the designer behind the newly-weds’ attire. Later when the couple released their first pictures, it became known that it was Sabyasachi Mukherjee who had dressed Deepika and Ranveer.
Now, on the day of the reception, Sabyasachi took to Instagram to reveal an important fact about Deepika Padukone’s Konkani wedding saree. As per Konkani rituals, the bride’s mother gifts the wedding saree to the daughter. Thus, Sabyasachi Mukherjee revealed that Deepika Padukone’s golden saree which she wore for the Konkani ceremony was gifted to her by her mother Ujjala Padukone. She had given the saree to Sabyasachi Mukherjee for more work.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh followed each and every ritual for the wedding including the Udida Muhurat ceremony. Today, the two will be celebrating their union with their friends and family in a lavish reception at Hotel Leela Palace, Bengaluru.
The newly-weds left for Bengaluru yesterday and were hoarded by the paps. Post this, they will be returning to Mumbai for receptions on November 28 and one on December 1. For now, the world can’t stop gushing over the recent photos of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
