Among a host of actors, Vicky Kaushal was undoubtedly the most popular breakthrough star of 2018. Whether it was his sharp performance in Raazi or the hopeless romantic in Manmarziyaan, Vicky essayed each character with great conviction. We now hear that the actor after the success of Uri has already begun the shooting of his next film.
It was earlier reported that Karan Johar’s period drama Takht was in the actor’s kitty. However, before Takht goes on floors, we had told you that the ‘Masaan‘ actor was shooting for a horror flick and the movie will release before Takht making it Vicky’s second release in 2019.
According to a report, this yet-to-be-titled film will be a high-concept horror flick that centers around a ship. The movie is being produced by Karan Johar’s production house and will star Bhumi Pednekar in the lead along with Vicky. The horror film which will be Vicky’s first film in the said genre will be helmed by Shashank Khaitan’s assistant director Bhanu Pratap Singh.
“Unlike some quintessential horror films that are set in haunted houses, this one revolves around a ship that lies static at a beach,” a source. Vicky has already been shooting for a month now alongside promoting Uri. Bhumi has an extended cameo in the film for which she will shoot in the next 15 days, the source revealed.
The report also stated that this horror flick will be different from most films in the genre and won’t be VFX-heavy. Background music and innovative cinematography will build the major chunk of the horror sequences helping it stand apart from the run of the mill horror films. “It is made on a really tight budget, and even the post production is not expected to take a lot of time,” the source said.
